Nokia C6 is actually a 5230-ish landscape slider?
We hate to turn your entire world -- nay, your very belief system -- on its end, but it's at least conceivable here that the so-called Nokia Mystic with the portrait QWERTY keyboard may not be the upcoming C6 after all. Instead, Tom's Guide is submitting this bright white exhibit as the device lucky enough to wear the C6 name, a phone that looks a whole hell of a lot like a 5230 with a QWERTY slider tacked on for good measure. That would make sense considering Nokia's goal of turning the freshly-introduced Cseries into a midrange, consumer-friendly brand; this phone could easily slot in below the N97 Mini, for example, particularly in light of rumors that the phone will lack the N97's beefy internal storage. Word is the C6 is pegged for a European release by Summer, so start cleaning off those 5800s and 5230s for eBay right now, why don't you?

Crystal Renn to Star Alongside Alessandra Ambrosio and Brooklyn Decker on Glamour Magazine Cover
Filed under: Fashion, News

It looks like Glamour is making good on its word -- made last year -- to feature women of diverse sizes in the magazine.
According to WWD, the June cover of Glamour will star a delectable threesome of Victoria's Secret stunner Alessandra Ambrosio, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition cover girl Brooklyn Decker and "plus-size" model Crystal Renn, whose career has been soaring of late.
Renn recently appeared in back-to-back issues of V Magazine, including the provocative "Size Issue," which was inclusive of some super-curvy women including performer Miss Dirty Martini, shot by Karl Lagerfeld.
Perfect for a summer-themed issue, WWD reports that the three luscious ladies were photographed in St. Barths by Matthias Vriens-McGrath this past weekend. And, judging by pictures posted on Ambrosio's Twitter, it looks like bathing suits were involved, as was star hairstylist Ted Gibson.
The June cover not only sets a benchmark for featuring women of varying body types, but it also marks a return of using models (instead of celebrities). Ironically, the last time a model was featured (in May 2006), it was Ambrosio.
Renn's relationship with Glamour started with a fashion story in May 2009, then continued last fall when she appeared naked with a bevy of other "plus-sized" models in the November issue, also shot by Vriens-McGrath.
Most recently Renn ditched the runway for a front row seat at the shows in New York, working as a guest blogger for Glamour.com. Then she returned to the catwalk for the London and Milan shows, strutting her stuff for Mark Fast and Elena Miro, respectively.
When StyleList spoke with Renn last month, the model had some very exciting upcoming projects that she had to stay mum about. We're guessing this Glamour cover shoot might have been one of them.
Can a major ad campaign be far behind? We think not!

Location Battle, Round 2: Foursquare and Gowalla both update iPhone apps!
Filed under: Features, Web services, Social Software, iPhone
In this corner, with a big head start, a huge userbase, and tons of features, it's ... Foursquare! In this corner, with millions of dollars in funding and a great-looking new design ... Gowalla!
By now, most people know that Gowalla and Foursquare have been going blow-for-blow in the location-based social gaming fight. Despite entries from Google, Yelp, and (soon) Facebook, these two services have the strongest iPhone apps out there right now. But if you're only going to sign up for one, which one should you pick?
Both Gowalla and Foursquare have their plusses and minuses, so read on for a comparison of their new iPhone apps (which both updated on Tuesday ... ooh, drama!) and decide for yourself.

Report: Japan's fuel cell market could grow 99-fold by 2025
Filed under: Hydrogen, Green Daily, Japan
The Big Japanese Three automakers are all working on fuel cell vehicles. This is no surprise, especially to anyone who remembers that, between 1998 and 2004, two out of every three fuel cell patent applications were filed by Japanese companies. What might be a surprise is how big the domestic fuel cell market there might be in fifteen years.
Japan Today reports that the Fuji-Keizai Group research firm has estimated there will be a 99-fold increase in the Japanese domestic fuel cell market between fiscal 2009 and fiscal 2025. 99 fold? That's ginormous. No, wait, it's bigger than ginormous. In money terms, it means going from 16.3 billion yen in fiscal 2009 to fuel cell demand that "may reach 990 billion yen for automobiles and 507 billion yen for housing in fiscal 2025." A big uptick will happen around 2018, which is when Fuji-Keizai predicts fuel cell vehicles will be "in competition with hybrid gasoline-electric and electric cars." There's a lot of unknowns to this story, but the numbers are ginormous, indeed. Thanks to Roy B. for the tip!

Kate Gosselin's New Short Haircut
Filed under: Cuts & Style, Hair, News, Celebrity Hair
Photo: Brian Flannery, FlynetPictures.com
Kate Gosselin has become quite the hair chameleon.
The reality TV mom was spotted last night with her "Dancing with the Stars" partner, Tony Dovolani, at Nobu restaurant in New York City with a new short haircut.
The sleeker bob comes just a few months later after she rang in the New Year with an entirely new hairstyle -- adding hair extensions and bangs and leaving behind her iconic "Jon and Kate Plus Eight" reverse mullet.
Celebrity hair stylist Ted Gibson, who perfected Gosselin's new 'do with colorist Jason Backe, believes the look is both sophisticated and chic.
"This is the best direction for her at the moment," said Gibson. "She starts 'Dancing with the Stars' in a few weeks so this is her 'getting ready to go' look for the show."
To achieve a lustrous shine, Gibson used his Build It Blow Drying Agent and Hairsheet Styling products, which he believes are perfect for blondes on-the-go. He finished the look with Beautiful Hold Hairspray.
Gibson told RadarOnline that the short haircut is simply a transition style before Gosselin goes back to the extensions and brightens up her strands with a three-blend custom hair color.
"We're actually doing three different shades of blonde, a caramel, a beige blond and a little bit of a lighter blonde," he told RadarOnline. "The extensions will last through the whole time she's on the show."
What do you think about Gosselin's new (but temporary) haircut? Does she look better with hair extensions?
