Master How To Download Motion Pictures

Have you ever waited and waited for the DVD of a great new movie to come out only to go to the dvd/video store and find that it is out of stock? You end up waiting some more after you already waited and waited! Consequently we tried a mail subscription. It sounded like it might work well. Just fill up your queue and pick up your movies at the mailbox. The only dilemma was that if the first movie that you wanted wasn’t available then they would send the second movie or the third movie on your list instead. You get home and you are in the mood to watch a funny comedy and you find that they sent the latest horror flick instead. And some of the mail-in subscriptions don’t offer the most recent releases until later so you end up having to visit the dvd/store anyway and you’re back where you started because of course the movie is not in stock and you have to wait once more. Although we recently came across something that has solved all of those problems for us. It’s great! We now download movies, games, software and more from the comfort of our own home and our computer. There is a small membership fee that covers the cost of the download and we made sure that we were using a reputable site so that we can avoid any troubles with adware, malware and viruses but it is working out great. The rates are comparable to other movie services and they are quite reasonable. You can usually get monthly subscriptions; annual subscriptions and you can even simply pay per download. There are as well lifetime subscriptions if you would like to go that way. Now we can get full-length, high quality movies downloaded instantly. We also were given the software to burn the movies to a disc so we can watch them on our Television. Since I work in front of a computer most of the day I didn’t truly want to watch a movie on my computer. But the convenience of the download service is remarkable. I can get whatever movie I want, instantly, in full-length and high quality. It can be early in the morning or in the middle of the night or even Christmas Day. I never have to leave my home and the movie I want is always in stock and accessible. It is the most excellent solution to getting movies that my family of movie buffs has ever found. Sorry movie rentals, sorry movie stores but we are saying “bye, bye”! Abortion: Live Tweeting It, Using It As A Weapon Against Health Care

Download Health care opponents keep wielding abortion as a weapon. Also, a woman live tweets her abortion and a young film director talks about her documentary about the virginity movement Subscribe to RealityCast: RealityCast iTunes subscription RealityCast RSS feed Links in this episode: Judge Judy on "The View" The lie continues And continues Angie the Antitheist Trent Franks thinks abortion is worse than slavery On this episode of Reality Cast, I’ll be interviewing a young film director who made a movie about the virginity movement. Also, the abortion and health care reform thing will not die, and a woman chronicles her abortion online to much outcry. Judge Judy laid down the law on the “The View”. judge judy * It was really funny, but I wish she hadn’t reinforced the myth that women wait that long. On the contrary, most women who want abortions can’t wait for it to be over. ********** Now that Democrats in Congress have decided that they’re going to move on health care reform using the reconciliation process to go around the Republicans’ standing order to filibuster all Senate bills introduced by Democrats, desperation is afoot. Even though there’s frankly no excuse for the pro-health care Democrats to have taken this long, the fact that they haven’t given up is sending opponents of health care reform scrambling. And you know what that means---more screeching about abortion in an effort to get people to stop thinking about how they need health care and start freaking out because their neighbors keep having sex like they have a right. Which means that opponents of health care reform are going to claim that the bill has federal funding for abortion in it no matter how many ways that conservative Democrats rewrite it to keep women from getting insurance coverage for abortion. Peter Johnson of Fox News dropped that misinformation. abortion 1 * There’s no word for that but “lie”. The only thing the Stupak amendment does is prevents women from using their own money to buy insurance. The original plan to keep the status quo was to make it so none of the federal subsidies that went to insurance companies would go to abortion, but Stupak has banned individuals receiving federal funding from using their own money to pay for abortion insurance. Of course, Bart Stupak is still out there claiming that his amendment does less than it does, and that there’s some secret special plan from the Obama administration to fund abortions. abortion 2 * I left that little bit in from a Fox News anti-choice propaganda piece, because I think it really leads into the second part of the segment. What this report makes clear is that this isn’t really about abortion per se. Like the report overtly said, this is an attack on the ability of women’s health clinics to keep their doors open. Which means that this is also an attack on contraception, cancer screening, infertility treatments, you name it---anything to improve the reproductive health care of women. The hope is to put a financial squeeze on clinics until they have to shut their doors. I think anti-choice hopes that cutting off abortion funding will destroy contraception and cancer screening and vaccinations are hopes that are too high. Abortion is a really small part of the income stream for places like Planned Parenthood, and even clinics that specialize in abortion aren’t likely to shut their doors because of lack of insurance. Which is why I flinched when Rachel Maddow said this about Bart Stupak on her show. abortion 3 * I’m not sure I buy the argument that it’s a fundamental ban on abortion. Right now, most women who get abortions pay cash and not with insurance. And already, the women who are least able to scrape together the $500-$700 required for an abortion are often on Medicaid and already blocked from having their health care plan cover it. I don’t want to minimize the problem by a long shot. But if lack of access due to funding is a functional ban on abortion, and I’ll accept that argument, then that ship sailed in 1976 with the Hyde Amendment. Stupak is simply expanding the number of women who’ll have abortion functionally banned. I don’t want to nitpick, because otherwise I found the segment to be great. Rep. Jane Schakowsky came on to explain the pro-choice House resistance to these abortion restrictions. abortion 4 * I suspect the strategy right now is to claim total refusal to vote on a bill with the severe abortion restrictions, but when push comes to shove, they’ll vote for it. It seems like a strong tactic, but it’s something I applaud. If pro-choice members of Congress don’t take a hard line on this, the anti-choicers will start demanding more. And what’s left is contraception. As the Fox News report indicated, this is about more than just abortion. This is about finding every possible way to cut funding to women’s health care clinics in order to shut them down. They’ve got abortion, but that probably won’t do it. But women’s health care providers probably would take a major hit if it became functionally illegal for insurance to cover contraception or contraception-related services. So, taking a stand on this, even if you give up at the last minute, is probably the only way to keep anti-choicers from finding funky new ways to separate women from basic health care services. ********* Insert interview ********* To my mind, the most interesting thing about what I’m about to play you was that no one had ever done this before. livetweet 1 * No, I’m not surprised someone had an abortion. There are over a million performed in this country a year, and one in three women will have one before 45 at current rates. Abortion is common. Talking about it is what’s not common. It’s not unknown for women online to talk about their abortions, but it’s still so rare that it’s apparently big time news. The blogger goes under the name Angie the Antitheist. She blogs generally about atheism and leaving fundamentalism and other related topics, but when she got pregnant and decided to have an abortion, she decided to tweet about it, blog about it, and do a YouTube video about it. Here’s her describing why she decided to make this usually private event more public. livetweet 2 * Angie claims that she didn’t really expect what happened next. And that makes sense. The primary theme of her initial reactions to her own abortion were that of relief that it wasn’t some horrible, scary thing as she’d been led to believe by anti-choice propaganda. When you personally don’t see what the big deal is, it’s got to be crazy that all these other people, who don’t know you and don’t care about you and have all these weird hang-ups about sex and who hate women for reasons that are hard to understand then go nuts on you. Which is exactly what happened. The media picked up Angie’s story, because she really sticks out as someone who admits in public what a lot of women have experienced in private, which is that abortion is not some horrible, agonizing thing, but a simple, straightforward decision. Not that they take it lightly, whatever that’s supposed to mean, but women are generally smart enough to make their own decisions, like men. And the expectation that we freak out about it to demonstrate that we’re too dumb to make a straightforward decision in a straightforward manner is insulting to women. But of course, no matter how awful the mainstream media’s insulting man-bites-dog approach is, the anti-choicers who have a real live woman to shame for refusing to follow the path they laid out for her? They’re the worst. The amount of abuse she got from anti-choicers was as sickening as it was predictable. Not just the bad faith crap about baby-killing, but also the sexual judgments that follow like night does the day. livetweet 3 * The absurdity of the marriage obsession lays bare the reality of what’s going on here, which is this obnoxious hatred of individuality, and this strong fear of female sexuality and need to police it. The whole situation really opened up the gulf between reality and anti-choice demands. In reality, Angie’s reality and most of our realities, sex and not wanting to be constantly pregnant are like having cable television and a roof over our heads. Part of life that is such a given as to go without question. But for anti-choicers, there’s this sense of constant outrage, and really, it’s like being in a constant tizzy because women sleep in beds and watch TV. It’s baffling after a certain point. The abuse of Angie continued, so she responded in a third video. livetweet 4 * That’s patriarchy in a nutshell---taking ordinary aspects of a woman’s life and making them seem evil or weird or sick in an effort to force women to live with our heads hung low and our basic freedoms dramatically curtailed. Why is hard to say. But it’s clear after this that the taboo about talking about abortion is maintained strongly, and it’s maintained in order to make abortion harder for women to punish us for being, well, self-directed and unashamed. ************ And now for the Wisdom of Wingnuts, the you’ve really got no idea how bad that sounds, do you edition. Representative Trent Franks wants to join into the anti-choice trend of pretending to care about black people, but he’s a little shaky on the dismount. trent franks * There are many ways that you can point out how it’s evil and racist to suggest that legal abortion is worse than slavery. But I just want to point out that Franks seems unable to realize that giving someone the freedom to choose what to do with her body is exactly the opposite of slavery, where people were forced to work without pay or any real rights at all.

[ARTICLES] KNOW YOU GOT SOLE - PAPER CHASR INTERVIEW

Chasing paper is a full time occupation for the man they call Paper Chasr! From dusting off kicks to producing banging beats, Sean ‘Paper Chasr' Williams has his finger in every pie – co-hosting sneaker talk show Obsessive Sneaker Disorder, creating the first sneaker comedy show ‘Just Ask Chad' and this month releasing the very first sneaker-themed album Know You Got SOLE : The Music. Created off the back of an as-yet unreleased sneaker documentary, Chasr has sourced a bounty of talented sneaker freaks and MCs to compile ten tracks dedicated to your favourite vice. We caught up with Sean as he embarks on an original conceptual promo tour. Hey Sean, what's poppin off in the US right now? First off, thanks very much for having me stop by as part of my virtual tour. This IS a great way to travel, minus the jetlag and lost luggage that would most likely contain kicks that would be gone forever! The U.S. is weird as far as kicks goes these days. Shops are closing; people are selling everything or giving stuff away for various reasons. Other folks are doing really grimey things so they can be the ‘so-called' man in the culture. The saying goes ‘I just sit back and watch the show' as Dr. Dre said on the song ‘The Watcher'. I love that record. I'm happy about the things we're doing at OSD (Obsessive Sneaker Disorder) for 2010. We have Know You Got SOLE: The Music releasing March 16th all over the Internet. I'm very happy with how it turned out and it's a great prelude to what will be Know You Got SOLE: The Documentary. I'm very happy that I'm continuing to stay inspired. What was the decision to promote your new album Know You Got Sole: The Music in this way - dropping interviews on various sneaker websites around the globe? The reason why I'm doing promotion in this way is because when I originally put everything together for the film, we were on schedule to release on 2008. Due to some unforeseen delays with production, I was left sittin' with all of this dope music (most of which I produced) that was sitting around doing nothing. I couldn't stand it anymore! I was looking for a new approach to promoting music and evaluating the marriage between sneaker culture and the Internet so that's when the virtual tour seemed like the best thing. I ran the idea across Dee Well (OSD's creator) and he loved the idea. I hope it changes the way folks promote music forever. Just remember who was one of the first. Give us a bit of background behind the making of the album - how you chose the artists and what their affiliation with the sneaker scene is? I knew from the beginning of the film process that I wanted music to go along with it. I've been a music producer for over 20 years so whatever I do (outside of music) I try to include music as an added dimension to it. This soundtrack is my coming out of retirement project. I got so frustrated with the state of music a few years ago that I retired from it altogether. It's funny how my love of sneakers would pull me out of retirement. When it was time to decide who the artists were going to be on this project, it was a matter of reaching out to artists who I knew already loved kicks, and that I knew were very good MCs. Most of the artists I have known personally for over a decade. I was confident they would give me good music once I gave them the tracks to pick from. Some of the artists on the album I actually passed the sneaker bug to and they are addicted pretty badly now, and then others I have quite a few stories between us regarding sneakers over the years. Writing songs about sneakers is nothing new - as with 'My Adidas' and 'Air Force Ones' but this could possibly be the first album dedicated to kicks....Where did the inspiration come from and why sneakers? Indeed it's nothing new at all. Speaking of 'My Adidas' I have a song on the album called 'My Shelly' that I think is the 2010 Shelltoe anthem. I hope someone from the trefoil (adidas) hears that song. I'm sure we can help Shelltoe adidas sales with that one. Back to your point, at OSD we've implemented a lot of ‘firsts' for sneaker culture that we knew for a fact did not exist before we introduced them. The talk show, the Internet video network and the sketch comedy show 'Just Blame Chad' are things ‘we knew' for a fact did not exist yet. But with music, there are so many people making music (especially Hip-Hop music) in various corners of the world that if it turns out Know You Got SOLE: The Music is the first official sneaker album then I'm happy to have brought it to sneaker lovers the world over. My hope is that it is well received because I've put it out there in a way that makes it easy for both music and sneaker lovers to get it. The inspiration for this album simply came from wanting music that would be just as memorable as I hope the documentary will be. I really wanted people to have more than just the movie to remember from OSD. But seriously how many ways can you talk about sneakers? Ten...check the album out and you'll see. I'm very appreciative of the fact that all 10 of the songs on the album approach kicks completely differently. Musically and lyrically this is a very diverse album to play. I'm hopeful that everyone who listens to it has at least one favorite. That was my goal with the creation of the album. This album is released off the back of a documentary you have in the making of the same name - is it strange to be releasing the soundtrack before the film when it's generally the other way round? My inspiration came from the fact that most music related to films gets lost and neglected once people go see the movie. They walk out of the movie theatre and the music is lost forever. There are music composers and music supervisors all over the world that work very hard to make movie music happen. I was once one of those people. I also don't want folks to go see the documentary and then there's nothing for them to hold onto from the project until the DVD comes out. It's not fair in my humble opinion. With something like sneaker culture where you have folks that are always in search of other things related to the culture, I wanted the music to come first and serve as its own commercial for the movie as well. After the movie releases I will put out Know You Got SOLE 2. If this whole thing works out we can make this a franchise of sorts to see how so many artists out there feel about kicks and can relay that message through their music. I'm excited about that possibility. Maybe Sneaker Freaker could join me on that mission (hint). Tell us a bit about the film... it's been a while since Just for Kicks. The film will conquer issues within sneaker culture that we've heard about over the years of doing the weekly talk show and me being involved with sneakers for over 24 years. Some of those issues are - the inequity between what female and males get when it comes to kicks. Women are very unhappy (angry even) with what they get in comparison to men and boys. Another issue we tackle is the problem finding kicks for men who wear a size 15 and up. We also tackle the VERY HEATED debate over camping out for sneakers. These are some of the things we know will make for a hot debate on camera that will lead to the discussions in the boardrooms for the footwear companies. The movie will be ready by the end of the Summer in some form. We are completely re-shooting the entire film at the moment. It will be nothing like what folks remember from seeing trailers in 2008. What's been the hold up? The delays were due to a few issues both within and beyond our control. One was a very bad car accident that our post-production genius was involved in that almost cost him his walking abilities. The others were related to the battle to put out a film that people are fiendin' for without disappointing them by not hitting certain topics the best way we could. All roads lead to us doing the entire film over again. Luckily for us the music we created withstood the delays. Sneaker culture in many places has shifted into a somewhat 'new school' era where the old cats that were heavily into it have moved on, making way for a new generation. Is it the same in the States? It's funny you mention that old to the new theme. That's actually one of the reasons why Dee and I are podcasting with OSD every Wednesday. Our show's mission is 'Appreciate, Educate, Elevate Sneaker Culture' and each week we talk about news and shoes. When you have a multi-billion dollar industry like kicks, we think it's irresponsible to focus on collections and ‘characters' alone. Let's show kids all over the world the thing you love can actually put you on a path to a career that will last a lifetime. We take great pride in trying to enforce that point every week for two and a half years now. That's the reason we support folks like Dwayne Edwards of Jordan Brand when he introduced the Future Sole competition. I was so impressed with seeing kids barely out of puberty could possibly be on a path to designing sneakers for a lifetime. I'm a former graffiti writer and I never thought to draw let alone design kicks and I've been into kicks over half my life to this point. Kids are the future of the business. If we don't walk with them down the path to a future of great kicks to come, we'll be bitter old sneakerheads (I hate that term) complaining about the good old days of sneakers. That's for the birds! For sure! How do you hope Know You Got Sole will connect with audiences? My sincerest hope is that the issues raised and addressed by this film will consciously resonate with sneaker lovers all over the world. These issues affect so many people, and that's the reason I chose the ones I did for the film. I hope the music offering is something folks really look at as a labor of sneaker love. The album was not created out of boredom or novelty. I really love sneakers and I really love music. I hope that shows. I appreciate the support for everyone who will be able to hear that. So for all those fiendin their fix, when does the album drop and how can heads cop? The album drops March 16th and can be purchased from online retailers all over the world such as iTunes, Rhapsody, Amazon.com, Myspace Music and it's also available for Nokia phones and Microsoft Zune players. Once again I thank EVERYONE all over the world for the support. If you have love for kicks, then I have love for you! I hope to one day have sneakers for everyone to buy. What's up next for Paper Chasr? That was one of the hardest questions in this interview. Let's see...we've got OSD as usual every Wednesday night, then there's Just Blame Chad episode #2 of the sneaker world's first sketch comedy show coming soon, and a sneaker game show on OSD in the works. We have a line of Tees we're working on, and we hope to secure our first footwear collaboration project this year, and there's more! (As if we have time). Musically, I'll be back in the studio with a slew of releases from my record company Ope Entertainment. I have 'Napoleon Complex' which is a project with me and 5FT from Black Moon which will be his first official solo project, an album from my long time friend Benjamin Hooks, a digital EP from a very talented new MC named Proper, and after completing the film, I will jump back in there to do Know You Got SOLE 2. Thank YOU to Mafia, Woody and the entire Sneaker Freaker Team, and thanks for putting out those dope New Balance too! I hope to be back soon with more good sneaker related news to report! WALK GOOD!

Pros: Easily connects to your TV using a variety of connection types; Vast codec support; Internet connected with a variety of content available, and more on the way. Cons: Optional wireless adapter difficult to configure; Primitive user interface; FreeAgent Go portable hard drive connection seems cumbersome. Summary: Many companies are rushing to provide a means to make digital content easily accessible in your living room. The FreeAgent Theater+ easily connects to your TV using HDMI (although an HDMI cable is not included) or a variety of other connections, and allows access to your digital media. The Theater+ also provides Internet connectivity to access a limited selection of online content. While the interface leaves a little to be desired, the device performs as advertised, and opens up another avenue for living room entertainment. Figure 1: The simplistic home screen of the FreeAgent Theater+. The Death of Physical Media I’ll admit it – I’m late to the party. I’ve only just recently started ripping my DVD’s for purposes other than loading onto my Zune. Up until now, I’ve been ripping my DVD movies into low-res WMV files so that I can toss them on my Zune and take on the road. I have an extensive library of DVD’s that I’ve collected over the years for my home theatre. One by one, my DVD players have died, leaving me with no way to enjoy my movie collection. I started ripping my DVD’s using a higher resolution, which allowed me to stream them over my wireless network using my Xbox 360. The Xbox provides an elegant interface that allows me to stream my media from my PC either using Windows Media Center, or simply through browsing my public folder. Of course, by just ripping the movie to WMV, I lose the extra content that comes with the DVD disc. I’ve been searching for a different and/or better way to access my movie collection, as well as other media on my computer and on the Internet. Enter the Seagate FreeAgent Theater+. The FreeAgent Theater+ not only allows network connectivity, it is also a dock for a Seagate FreeAgent Go portable hard drive. The Theater+ includes software that performs a sync of your media files to the hard drive. Simply connect the drive to your PC, and the software automatically syncs your content to the drive (you configure what folders to sync). You then plug the drive into the Theater+ and that content is available to view on your TV. By ripping my DVD’s to an ISO file, the full DVD content is now available using the Theater+. Simply select the ISO file from the Theater+ menu, and it loads instantly (much faster than when using a physical DVD), and all content is available. Now this is the media solution I’ve been looking for! In addition to video, the Theater+ can also display photos and play music. While the sync software works adequately, I find this process a bit cumbersome. Why would I want to carry my drive back and forth, when I can simply connect the Theater+ to my network and access all of my content that way? Networking the Theater+ When I built my house 10 years ago, I had the foresight to wire many of the rooms with CAT5 cable for networking. However, I did not have the foresight to run the cable to where my television is. Because of my built in TV cabinet, it is nearly impossible to run a cable to my television. I decided to try to connect the Theater+ to my wireless network using the optional USB wireless adapter. The adapter is WiFi N capable, which should provide enough bandwidth to stream my media. However, I was never able to successfully connect to my wireless network. This became especially frustrating. I have two different wireless networks in my house, both of which have rather lengthy passcodes. The process to configure the wireless adapter includes pecking out the passcode using a virtual on-screen keyboard. Figure 2: While there's not much else that can be done with the on screen keyboard, having to retype my passcode on it after several failed attempts to connect to the wireless network became very frustrating. After entering the passcode, the Theater+ shows “testing connection” for about 2 minutes and then simply returns to the “Configure Network” screen. No error message, no success message. I attempted to connect to both of my networks on only once was I able to successfully connect. However, the connection was not reliable, and it disconnected after a few minutes. I gave up on the wireless connection and ran a long cable from my router to the device. After finally getting a successful network connection, I was ready to check out the Internet capabilities of the Theater+. A little research on the Seagate message boards shows that the wireless issue seems to be related to a firmware update. Some suggest downgrading the firmware on the Theater+ to an older version. The message boards also suggest that a new firmware update is due in the next month or so, so hopefully the wireless issue will be rectified then.
