Adventures in the city
Last night I had a most lovely and interesting ´rendez-vous´ with Monika from Country Living in the City and her husband A. who live in Germany, but who came some days to Belgium. We met in Bruges at night and had dinner together in one of the charming restaurants of the city (just a little message for Lady Vosges Paris...no, I didn´t see Lambic LOL). Though we had been already several times in contact through our blogs we never met before of course and so anyway I was waiting a bit anxiously whom I might discover and how that person ´Monika´ would be! It was already dark outside when I arrived in Bruges, only the many lights of the city gave a slight sense of warmth, since it was quite chilly and a little bit raining. And so I was standing there and waiting... people passing by, who probably asked themselves what exactly I was doing there on that spot... I just mention this sensation here, because since many years (I think that last time was about 24 years ago, yes really!) I hadn´t gone out ALONE - without husband and/or kids - in the night :D
So, this married woman stood there in the sparkling darkness of the city and enjoyed that moment very much... And I enjoyed it even more when I discovered Monika and her husband and when the evening turned out so well in a cozy atmosphere. Thank you, both of you, for this beautiful evening, for your interest and all attention! And I hope we´ll meet again in the near future. In Belgium or in Germany.
I not only received a good bottle of German sparkling Rosé-wine (Rosé has always been my favourite, how did they know that??) as a gift, but also this gorgeous rose, handmade by Monika.
